Scheduling deep-dive

Interview scheduling comparisonOctopyd vs Greenhouse

Greenhouse launched Greenhouse Scheduling in September 2025 to help coordinators build and manage interview schedules. Octopyd’s Arvo operates the whole interview journey, from scheduling and candidate communication through RSVPs, rescheduling, and feedback.

Where Greenhouse supports a capability, the linked page directly confirms it. Where it does not, the link confirms the more limited or manual workflow Greenhouse documents. Where Greenhouse does not publish a page explicitly stating that a feature is absent, the comparison is based on the scope of its currently documented native workflows. Greenhouse capabilities and documentation verified in July 2026; features vary by plan and change over time.

A note on calendar setup

Greenhouse does not require every interviewer to connect a calendar for every workflow. For automated or manual scheduling, a scheduler can use a connected calendar and delegated permissions to view other calendars. However, Greenhouse explicitly requires each interviewer to connect their calendar to participate in candidate self-scheduling.

The bottom line: Greenhouse provides the tools coordinators use to construct and manage interview schedules. Octopyd’s Arvo operates the interview journey end to end, from stage-based scheduling and candidate communication through RSVP management, rescheduling, and feedback collection.
